Sometime in the beginning of the building process, selections will need to be made. This can be mind-boggling to some homeowners. Keep in mind these are just choices as to how you want your home to look. It can be an exciting task or a daunting one. Our office is skilled at helping you along this journey.
Some things to keep in mind:
- You don’t have to know every choice in the beginning. We will keep you informed as to the schedule of when you need to make decisions. There are many resources for a homeowner to find options, and you have time to investigate.
- Most homeowners like to keep a journal of their choices. Some cut out pictures while others keep internet links to their choices. We can also provide a checklist for you to use if you are a checklist kind of person. Once you have made your selections, you can share them with us.
- Although your selections are not initially set in stone, it is a good idea to find what you want and stick to it. Items like appliances sometimes need to be ordered in advance and specifications need to be shared with the contractor. Flooring and tile selections are items that should be decided on in a timely manner since lead time can be lengthy.
